While it may be the default action of ‘her people’, the fact is that Jasmine attended the most exclusive and expensive private high school in the St. Louis area. While STL may be a dump, there is a lot of old money in the area. After graduation, she attended and exclusive and expensive private college in Memphis.
Who paid her way? I’ve never heard the answer to that question.

She may well have picked up her ratchet persona at Howard University in D.C. and she obviously sees that as her future. Wonder who will hire her in January.
