A controversial online fundraiser for Karmelo Anthony has been shut down after his family raised some `$630,000 for legal and living expenses now that he was convicted of murder — but his family may still be able to set up a new one.
The GiveSendGo went offline Wednesday afternoon, a day after 19-year-old Anthony was convicted in a Texas courtroom of killing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at an April 2025 high school track meet.
GiveSendGo – a crowd sourcing platform that differs from GoFundMe in that it allows fundraisers for criminal cases – confirmed the fundraiser closure in a statement to The Post.
But donations were still rolling after Anthony was convicted of first-degree murder — with more than $`4,000 in donations made in that time.
It remains unclear if Anthony and his family will receive that cash, as GiveSendGo typically makes fundraiser payouts three days after a donation is made.

At this time GSG is only holding a few thousand.....since the beginning the family has acquired somewhere in the neighborhood of $600k and has been spending it like drunken sailor ever since.
And that’s a scary thought.
They have records, ya idjit.
Whoever rented the million dollar house to the Anthony’s is lucky the house is in Texas. Texas is pretty tough on renters who fail pay rent and evictions are pretty straightforward.
Cochran should be dead by now?
If he ain’t, he should be.
“Only the good die young!”
Hey Bat, stop with the stupid posts.
Cochran the Cockroach was a clever POS who defended a murderer who was guilty as sin.
It looks like his lawyer threw in the towel in the hopes for an appeal.
Meanwhile, the family will be living large.
It is all relative. I think you can make the case the lawyer didn't have much to work with. Even if one defense witness stuck with their original testimony, they would have been out numbered by 20 to 1.
We don't know what went on in terms of plea deals. The prosecution had a tight case and and may not have offered much of a plea deal.

I wonder if K’s family ever will come to the realization that his incarceration is on him and his poor choices. And maybe they’ll even figure out that their piss-poor parenting is a factor.
They ordered a reporter to get away from their tent on the courthouse lawn after the sentence was passed down. The reporter walked away.
Unlike when Austin’s team told K to leave their tent, and K did NOT walk away.
There should be (maybe there are) shirts with “JUST WALK AWAY” on them.
I live in a downstate Illinois metro area. Trial length is similar to the Texas case. Nobody cares if gang bangers kill one another other than the dysfunctional families. It is bigger news if a student gets murdered or a burglary gone bad. Even then it rare, a case goes national.
