Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates told a Capitol Hill hearing Wednesday that Jeffrey Epstein used Gates’ marital infidelities as “leverage” to keep the billionaire in Epstein’s circle.
In a prepared opening statement, Gates told committee members that he “never witnessed nor had any indication that Epstein was engaged in ongoing criminal conduct.”
“I never went to his island, his ranch, or his Florida home. I have never victimized anyone. While he may have sought to foster a personal relationship, I was never interested in that and never reciprocated,” he went on.
But the philanthropist also disclosed that the late pedophile learned of Gates having “been unfaithful in my marriage” and sought “to use information about my infidelities — in addition to many lies that he layered on top — to pressure me to re-engage with him.”
“He was unsuccessful in this effort, but it shows some of the ways he tried to leverage his interactions with me to further his agenda,” Gates added.

It’s hard, certainly, to have any sympathy with Gates. But I have to say - the image of a guy being cross-examined on this issue by the paragons of virtue running Capitol Hill does make me roll my eyes.
Gates must be dirty as hell if he’s okay trying to use this wacky scenario as cover for his association with Epstein.
Leslie Wexner comes to mind. Epstein undoubtedly had him by the short hairs.
No way, Leslie gave him his $65 Million Upper East Side Manhattan townhouse for $1 because he appreciated his financial advice.

How he got snagged?
Only one of them - Virginia Giuffre - claimed she was trafficked.
Giuffre claimed she had sex, three times, with Prince Andrew.
Prince Andrew has publicly stated, numerous times, that he does not know Giuffre, and never had sex with her.
Giuffre settled out of court with Andrew for an undisclosed amount of money.
Well Mr Gates, my followup question to you is during that time that Epstein tried to use his knowledge of your extra-marital affair to pressure you, did you ever make that effort publicly known, to publicly show Epstein for the immoral man he was??
Epstein contractually managed Les Wexner's investments for a period of years.
Wexner made a lot of money during Epstein's tenure.
The town house transfer - instead of direct cash payments to Epstein - was a completely legal tax strategy.
Not according to flight logs!

yeah, i was thinking specifically of wexner too when i wrote my comment because he was one of the first blackmail victims who insisted that he was only paying for “financial advice” ... [which also has the added benefit of being written off as a business expense, since i don’t think blackmail payments are deductible ... perhaps THAT’S the financial advice Epstein was providing: “Just say you’re paying me for financial advice and you can deduct the blackmail payments!”]
