Some of the argument heard just before the fracas:

“That is unwise! The judicial power should be independent of the legislative branch! Else they will be controlled by the legislators!”

“But if the judges exceed their apportioned powers, there is no one to stop them. This will clearly lead to judicial tyranny!”

Off topic a bit. But Six Flags America near Washington DC closed down. That place had a reputation for drawing a pretty rough crowd.

Some people off the record said the clientele and crowd control issues led to the decision to shut it down.
