Even putting aside the religious aspects, replacing female with "gestating parent" is a bizarre way to diminish the role of women as mothers.

It's really an attempt to erode the basic language of biology so that the terms male and female are meaningless.

Society does not advance when there is ambiguity. But that really is the whole point. Proponents of this craziness are seeking to tear down what they deem to be artificial inequalities. But it is the laws of nature that they have the biggest quarrel with.
