Janet Mills will be inserted as the last minute replacement for Platner. IMHO, of course.
Chucky Schumer basically said this last week.

They’re gonna have to get a wiggle on, since today is the day. Don’t we kind-of want him to win the primary? His character, lifestyle, and history are low-hanging fruit for the GOP to use. As bad as she is, she sometimes votes the right way.
All that will be necessary is somebody who’s an expert in messaging.
