Tina Peters’ Escape from Devil’s Island

Yesterday, a great evil came to an end as former Colorado election official Tina Peters was finally freed from prison. Like so many Americans who have been targeted in the last decade by biased prosecutors, Peters never belonged there in the first place. Peters was railroaded at the insistence of election officials in Colorado who were trying to punish her for her investigation of the compromised 2020 presidential election. Singled out as she was for exemplary punishment, Peters was subjected to abusive conditions and periodic assaults by fellow prisoners. All of this was for following her conscience as county clerk and recorder of Mesa County, Colorado, in acting to prevent and detect election fraud.

Concerned (correctly) that there was evidence of fraud in the 2020 presidential race in her county, she made copies of voting data before it could be destroyed—an act that Colorado authorities convinced a biased judge was criminal. Although her political enemies clearly hoped that she wouldn’t outlive her long, outrageous sentence, it was recently and mercifully commuted by Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, thanks in part to pressure brought on them by the Trump administration.

Peters’ full story deserves to be made into a movie about the corruption of justice in our country.

Colorado is desperately trying to out-corrupt CA, MN, IL, and NY so that they can lead the “League of Excrement”.

When do we rise up and give these loathsome creatures what they deserve?

Jared is not a them, unless there are more than one of him.

Morgan & Morgan could make a ton of money and a lot of publicity if they (and it's they, there are two of them) were to file suit for wrongful imprisonment, and purposeful terrorist actions there against Ms. Peters (who is a her, not a them).

Um, Tina Peters committed actual felonies. God bless her for trying to expose election fraud, but she also committed actual felonies that were not needed to do it.

Making a backup copy to prevent tampering should not be regarded as a felony.

That’s not what she did.

Maybe you read more than network news headlines.

“Tina Peters, the former Mesa County Clerk, was charged by Mesa County with 9 felonies and 5 misdemeanors for her role in an election security breach in 2021. Peters worked with Belinda Knisley to allow unauthorized personnel access to the Mesa County election system, including providing an individual who was never hired by the county with an access badge to the secure election system. Peters and Knisley also had the security cameras overlooking the access machines turned off. In August 2021, images of the Mesa County election management systems and related passwords appeared on the internet. Knisley and Peters then refused to comply with subpoenas and directives from the Secretary of State when this was investigated. As a result, Peters was charged with multiple counts of attempt to influence a public servant; conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation; criminal impersonation; identity theft; official misconduct; violation of duty; and failure to comply with requirements of the Secretary of State. Following a jury trial, she was convicted of 4felonies and 3 misdemeanors and acquitted of the 3 remaining charges. She was sentenced to a total of 9 years (8 ½ in prison and six months in jail) and fined $14,992.50.”

She could of robbed a convenience store and got less prison time. Kangaroo court. The felons are in the Colorado prosecutors office.

That sounds like one offence of preventing cheating from happening repeated multiple times restated, until lots of years of sentencing sound plausible.

She impersonated other employees and stole security badges to break into places.

She, as the head, had the ability to get all this without the crimes.

Tina hurt the stolen election efforts by discrediting them as nothing but criminal attempts by the republicans.

She had the ability to make these stolen election facts known publicly but chose to do things that were not productive to that end.

Thank you, that’s the clearest explanation I’ve ever seen of what vhappened. I wonder if the data was still ultimately deleted after all?

“”That sounds like one offence of preventing cheating from happening repeated multiple times restated, until lots of years of sentencing sound plausible.””

It certainly does - TRY, TRY AGAIN - until “THEY” ran out of charges, wore out (confused) the jury and that was the result..

“”Peters was charged with multiple counts of attempt to influence a public servant; conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation; criminal impersonation; identity theft; official misconduct; violation of duty; and failure to comply with requirements of the Secretary of State.””

What was the law she broke? What was the felony?

What was her sentence for those dastardly deeds?

Please cite exactly what she did to deserve her treatment. And be precise.

“And the left are upset that she was freed.”

They’re talking really bad about her on X. Very cowardly, vicious and emotional people.
