Those days in NC must have been wild. Junior Johnson had his story out of Wilkesboro I think. It created a movie. To know it was his old car was a fun fact.

Ned getting that hot check covered is great! Thats a lot of travel from Hickory, to MB, to Charlotte in 3 days! Especially back then, nothing but backroads and no AC!

He made it happen. Something tells me the Lord cleared a few obstacles along the way. Rest in Peace Ned Jarrett

Could not do that today. Since currency was in backed in gold at the time, under today’s fiat currency (not backed in gold), it would be $250,000 that car today in 1957 currency.

Of course, you could not own gold then.
