Yep. And many swing voters are obsessed with gas prices these days. Maybe they’re being shortsighted.

But it is what it is. Swing voters are not happy. I suspect that will show up in the election results this November.

I'm obsessed with the cost of printer ink - $15 an ounce. For me, even at $7 a gallon, my monthly expense for gas is up about $8, about the cost of a slice of pizza and a soda. If a semi-truck has to deliver a load of stuff and the gas expense is $15-20 higher for a delivery trip, that extra cost is divided amongst hundreds of items, e.g., canned fruit and vegetables, pork & beans, applesauce, tomato sauce, toilet paper, laundry soap, flashlight batteries, etc.
