EVs are OK if you have a house and install a charger. Or your setup with solar panels charging your EV. Few days ago I bought a gasoline lawnmower from this guy with solar panels. His new electric lawnmower is solar powered! He is the bush league version of you.
His solar array is not roof mount. It is in his back yard facing south. Array is about 100x8 feet.
I, too, have an electric riding mower (zero turn). LOL My old gas mower bit the dust, so I did the math (shocker I know LOL) and realized the gas and oil change savings on an electric one would pay for the extra cost within 6 years.
