I strongly prefer Lidl over Aldi. If you have them in your area, check them out. Great fresh croissants in the bakery.

Lidl bought properties around here, then changed direction and disposed of them without building any stores. Not sure why they backed away from the market.

Agreed. For about the same price, Lidl’s products quality is awesome, way above Aldi’s and most often better than high priced products from other chains. They keep prices low by being even more efficient than Aldi. The Germans know something about efficiency.
