Kirill Basin, 40, a Democratic congressional candidate from Kīhei, Maui, was arrested on May 29, 2026, for first-degree terroristic threatening after allegedly brandishing a firearm at Maui County employees during a verbal altercation at a county building. I saw a different young man with that name on New York Post.
