Folks that don’t know the Indy 500 much don’t know the international appeal it has. Most folks think of the Indy 500 as a purely American thing. I have a French friend who goes to the Indy 500 every year.

the winners in 1913 and 1914 were French, 191 was British.

I previously worked with the great grandson of the 1915 winner. He was American.

It’s always been an international event.
