You obviously have zero idea how much an EV uses.
The avg American sedan drives 11,000 miles per year, with avg daily trip under 30 miles total and 96% of ALL trips under 36 miles total.
A Tesla model 3 AC ripping and 75 mph on a tollway will go 4 miles per kWh you put in it. City grid lock is closer to 6 miles per kWh but we will rip the speed and AC. Like I do in DFW so 250wh/mi is real.world every day numbers.
A 30 mile daily avg is 7.5 kWh and with L2 charging and AC>DC>pack losses it’s 9% we will round up to 10% that s 8.25kWh from the plug then.
Go look at your clothes dryer it’s on a NEMA circuit and has a running amp of 30 mine does. That’s 7kw worth.
Charging at 38 amps the max for most L2 is not much different than running your clothes dryer,and it takes 54 min to put back the 30 miles the average drivers uses per day. You trying to tell us that running a load the equivalent to one hour of drying clothes is stressing the grid. Nah dude the Manhattan C is a blowhard and full of it most of the time for clicks.
My EVs plural charge off panels above them. 4*650 watt panels supply enough energy throughout the year to full charge them for every mile they go.
No one anywhere has a functional oil refinery in their back yard you can have panels anywhere including vertical has solar bifacial fences instead of wood fences.
