Living in the higher Latitudes of the Lower 48, DST works just fine for me.
My recent ancestors were not total dummies.
Here in southern Arizona in the summertime, I’d rather have the sun already down if I’m going to spend time outdoors in the evening. I’ll be up at first light anyway, since that’s really the only time to do yardwork, go for a walk, or whatever before it gets hot for the day.
Not too bad so far this spring. Only one day over 110 at our place, and it’s barely hit 100 in the last week. That won’t last. Oh, well, October through February are the best times to be here.
