How about instead, a compromise Shift the whole clock change thing by a half hour.. Split the difference, and then make it permanent.
That way, neither side’s ‘ox is gored’ too deeply.
I’m all for half hour time zones in the Lower 48.
Because “daylight” doesnt actually have anything to do with it, its the changing of the clocks that is the biggest problem when you zoom out. Every time it changes theres is an uptick in death due to various reasons and a huge amount of money lost all across the country just because some dumbass thinks they can create more hours of light.
Now if we changed the clocks about an hour or so every month then we could all save about and extra week and with that extra week we could all go on vacation together. I want to see the American Vacation Week Bill. Im heading out to collect signatures right now.
