The current refrigerants are both flammable and toxic to humans. Freon was neither. Plus refrigerators today are full of imported parts that have short lifespan.
And they’re expensive. $3800 for my last refrigerator last year then the thing is loud at times when it’s the ice machine and water and whatever other noises it makes. they certainly don’t make them like they used too, that’s for sure.
