$1 trillion. That's the approximate valuation that OpenAI is eyeing for its public debut, Reuters reported last October. SpaceX is targeting between $1.75 trillion and $2 trillion in its IPO valuation, which would shatter the previous record set by Saudi Aramco's $29 billion offering in 2019. OpenAI's last private valuation was $852 billion thanks to a $122 billion funding round in March.

Bad idea. Leaves them vulnerable to a hostile takeover by Musk.
and people like to use AI, but no one wants to pay for it. Nobody has any money for that nonsense. I don’t need to pay $50 a month so that I can make a movie of my friend singing with Mickey Mouse.
I think there is plenty of money out there for Musk. Space X seems to be a better bet (less competition) than Open AI.
I wish I could get some VC money into SpaceX. I wouldn’t touch OAI.
My plan is to sell my AMD stock and buy SpaceX. After it doubles or more I sell then buy OpenAI when I thought it was to have it’s IPO in late fall.
Now it looks like I will buy AMD again after I think SpaceX has run up the price. OpenAI is not making money right now except with deal making with other tech companies.
Any case I figure to at least double my money and more likely triple, quadruple etc. with SpaceX.
SpaceX is priced at $105 but I suspect will rapidly climb on opening day.
The SpaceX employees had been able to buy the stock earlier so they are happy to automatically have 5 times more shares before the public offering.
Besides launching rockets they also own Starlink which is internet everywhere plus cellphone.
They will in the future offer tv & movies & sports as they launch more satellites as they need more bandwidth for all of this.
Think cable tv but from space.
I guess a lot of shows about aliens.... 👽
SpaceX reportedly issues 5-for-1 stock split as IPO timeline accelerates
Elon Musk’s rocket company could also price its IPO as early as June 11, with shares trading on the Nasdaq on June 12.

Bloomberg reported over the weekend that SpaceX told its investors it will implement a 5-for-1 stock split, a move that would potentially reduce the price of the stock ahead of its IPO.
SpaceX informed shareholders that the current fair market value per share has been adjusted to about $105.32 from $526.59 as a result of the split
OpenAI’s partners are carrying $96 billion in debt , it’s eating other people’s money ,LOL
You get people, especially, loathe AI. i’ve noticed that a lot of products and services are coming out these days that say “hundred percent no AI was used.”
People won’t listen to any modern music, because they believe it’s been tainted by AI.
“SpaceX is targeting between $1.75 trillion and $2 trillion in its IPO valuation”
What could justify that?
The Chinese will probably build a similar launch platform for the equivalent of at most a few billion dollars.
A trillion is $10,000 for each of 100 million households.
And that would have to be in the form of after-tax profits.
