As you might know, that’s already being done with voices. A scammer captures a clip of someone’s voice, and feeds it into an app.
The app can now make new sentences in that voice.
As a side point, I don’t know why the federal government isn’t raining hell down on this scammers. There are scam-baiters on YouTube who do a pretty good job of disrupting scammers. Call-flooding, etc.
Imagine what the federal government could do.
Yes, I heard that words you say to the phone scammers and telemarketers are gathered and they can later someday say, with your recorded voice “Yes”——to I give permission to charge my debit account for that deal. Creepy.
I’ve gotten junk calls and say “Hello”. Then the robot hangs up. Is one word sufficient?
My spam filter works pretty well, but I turn it off when I’m expecting a business call from a new number. Then, of course, the spammers hit me.
