Ty is a principled conservative. He has my full support and endorsement. That and $5 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks, I think.

That makes one current, one former and one running for senator of Oklahoma that have no qualifications for the job.

Didn’t William F. Buckley say something about picking random names from a phone book and being better served than we are currently?
You must be joking.
I kid you not. Go ahead and vote for another career politician. Things are going so well with them in charge.
To serve as a U.S. senator, a candidate must be at least 30 years old, a U.S. citizen for at least nine years, and a resident of the state they wish to represent at the time of election.
I believe he’s qualified.
That makes you about as credible as him.
…and I should value your opinion and credibility why?
Maybe if you had something of value to add. Can you tell me why Kevin Hern is a better choice or do you have nothing better to do than tear down someone that you don’t likely even know.
I said in my original post that my opinion isn’t worth a cup of coffee. Convince me that yours is worth a plug nickel.
They all meet the constitutional requirements don't they?
I’ll look him up. Personally, having more choices is always better than having too few. Consideration doesn’t cost a thing.
Thank you, sir. A reasoned response. That’s all I’m asking. Take a look at his platform. I believe that true conservatives would find little to argue against.
Ty is no politician and he’s beholden to no one. I’ve worked with, for, and against him in the industry where we met. Regardless of the situation, he has always conducted himself honorably and has treated me with respect and I assure you, it wasn’t always deserved.
He even helped me with a presentation when we were direct competitors for the same account. That’s a friend right there. He said he welcomed the competition. Neither one of us landed the account, but you can’t win ‘em all.
I understand that Hern has the president’s endorsement, but new blood couldn’t hurt. Hern has been in DC for 8 years. He has a 9 million dollar war-chest. Ty’s campaign is self funded.
So did Obama, Biden, Harris and many others that have not turned out well at all.
It has been said we would have better qualified politicians if we just picked names out of a phone book.
From his website: “the original Garth Brooks “Side Kick” and band member (and college roommate)”.
That’s bothersome, but it doesn’t sound like he’s like Garth politically.
Garth chose his path. Ty went a separate way and had limited success as a solo artist because he wouldn’t compromise his principles for money or success. I respect that and I believe that he would govern with the interests of Oklahomans in mind rather than for personal gain.

The senate and governorships is big-time. If this guy wants to introduce himself why can’t he run for a lower office? Not good enough it seems. If we wanted a non-politician Ross Perot would have been elected and Vivek would have made it to the WH. These vanity runs need to be treated as a need for attention. At least Trump’s been out there and Vivek can still prove himself worthy of the gamble.
Wm. Simon Jr. thought his notable father’s name would make him the best California gov. He stunk. Pennsylvania nominated Lynn Swan who ended up a naive sacrificial lamb. I could go on.
I see your mind is closed. Don’t bother to even look at his platform then, but at the same time, don’t call this an ego driven endeavor. You don’t know him. I do and I believe he has the right temperament, conservative mindset, and steadfast courage to legislate in the best interests of Oklahoma.
It’s a good thing that President Trump held office before seeking the nomination in 2016…oh wait. Maybe that position isn’t as important as Senators and Governors.
