If the armbar was Rousey’s signature move, why wasn’t Carano more prepared for it? Rousey was a legit, highly decorated, world class, 6th degree Judo blackbelt. Carano had a limited Muay Thai career (at a time when women's Muay Thai was even more niche than women's MMA), then fought at a time when women's MMA was essentially a circus sideshow. I doubt the result would have been any different had Gina signed with the UFC back when Ronda was champion.
