I used to live in a picture perfect mostly German city when I was a kid. Now it is basically Mexico and the Aztec empire.
I grew up in small community in Orlando that was built for Martim Marietta (now called Lockheed Martin) employees coming to the state. The area is called Pine Hills but has been known as Crime Hills for 35 years. It was an awesome place to grow up. Idyllic even. City leaders in the 60s vowed to make the west side of Orlando the poor, crime ridden area of town and they did. And Disney coming in brought lots of “diversity” which made things worse. So now most of Orlando is dangerous if you aren’t aware of the no go zones.
It's hard to believe that decades ago, white English speakers were a majority in many cities in Texas and the southwest generally, including San Antonio etc. Now they're basically part of Mexico/Central America demographically and culturally.
I grew up in an Okie transplanted town in California. Now it is 99% Mexico.
