One day after Lane Kiffin opened up on why the location of Ole Miss hurt him in recruiting at his old school and how “diversity” has helped him at LSU, the college football coach apologized.
Kiffin, in a lengthy interview with Vanity Fair, revealed that unspecified recruits told him while he was leading Ole Miss that certain players would have issues coming to the school.
“[They would say], ‘Hey, Coach, we really like you. But my grandparents aren’t letting me move to Oxford, Mississippi,'” Kiffin told Vanity Fair. “That doesn’t come up when you say Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Parents were sitting here this weekend saying the campus’ diversity feels so great: ‘It feels like there’s no segregation. And we want that for our kid because that’s the real world.'”

Controversy has always followed Lane Kiffin. He is a great coach but as a fan I’m glad he didn’t end up at Florida. Just sayin.
I was hoping Lane Kiffin would apologize for something. I would like an apology from Brian Kelly too. Is Orgeron available for an apology? What about Saban? I’m pretty impressed with myself that I know so many LSU coaches, since I couldn’t care less.
I think Sumrall is going to be great.

Why not? Guy’s a douche.
He wanted the job at Bama but it’s pretty common knowledge why he was never even considered.
I like him but he’s had so many places that he’s screwed up.
And Jeff Landry proved he is a powerless figurehead as governor. He said he wasn't going to let LSU give a huge contract to a coach, and he would manager the hiring process. Then he laid down and rolled over like a French Bulldog while they offered more money to Kiffin. His words, not mine.
The Manning family advised Ole Miss not to hire Kiffin.
The Mannings like everybody. What did they know?

But he can attract gorgeous women.
Layla is still drop dead gorgeous.
I’m getting that same vibe about Sumrall. And I never had that feeling with Naps. Shudder.
