---- "The world could end in empty cradles"

Nope. There'll be births enough, though not at "replacement rates" for a while.

But the future is clear. Massive debts by nations, states and companies will eventually be abrogated. Fewer people being told they will have to pay for generations to pay for yesterday is predictable. Taxpayers will rebel and governments will fall.

I don't society would make it to that point.

Our society and technology is built around an ample workforce. If you don't have enough qualified people to man the necessary and essential jobs the engines of industry stop running. We may be close to that today. Not because we don't have enough people but because so few of them a capable (or willing) of doing necessary work.

I believe that the economy and technology will collapse before we would rebel. Of course it maybe a distinction without a difference. Economic collapse often leads to revolution.

The willing part is of interest. I have met intelligent people that would not apply for good paying jobs because they required a drug test. That baffles me. Taking illicit drugs is more important to you than having a job that would drastically improve your standard of living.

There are enough babies being born in California for Gavinor Newsom to spend millions of dollars giving them free diapers.
