Been going to MLB games since the 1970s. Glad I never saw anything like this. In the last 10 years I’ve only been to handful of games and its pretty much over for me ever going again.
I’m increasingly averse to crowds but notice movie theater attendance is down 37% from 2019 and dropping 10% for the most recent quarter and most non NFL sporting events. NFL only declined 0.8% . Sort of interesting that overall season ticket sales have dropped. MLB has had 3 years of slight increase after dropping each year since 2007. Like with everything else, younger ages of Z and beyond are lowest and boomers are highest in live attendance.
Yep. I remember a drunk fan in Philly fell from an upper deck in the late 70s or early 80s when I was a kid. Fat, no shirt, drunk. He was able to get up and walk out with assistance. And that really wasn't unique. People do foolish things like this all the time and it usually involves booze.
