Multiple DC police officers I've spoken with are VERY happy with this move

For example, in some districts, armed home invasions were written down as "trespassing" instead — a vioIent felony dropped to a low-level misdemeanor, just to cook the crime stats.

I can’t see them doing this arbitrarily. Somebody at the top told them to do it. Somebody like the Mayor, the District Attorney, or the Chief of Police. I’d put my bets on the Mayor as she is the top official for D.C. The others work under her supervision.

I don’t give a rat about the language used in an x post about the matter, primarily because it is WRONG. The data manipulation - via multiple methods - continued after the election. I would argue that it continues today.

Probably hispanics as white as well. Fedgov does this, they inckude hispancis as white when the criminal category is white, to inflate the white criminal numbers. When the victim is white, they do not include hispanics the same way, to reduce the reported number.
