Could people who have studied psychology explain theories of people hitting or burning effigies? Or pinatas?

Is there a term for the psychological disturbance? Do the Dems show they are on the road to entries in new editions of “The Serial Killers” books?

I did read references to the debunked “primal scream” and hitting pillows with a baseball bat in the therapist’s office that were fads in the days of John Lennon’s “Mother”.
