That’s the third Trump-backed challenger to defeat an incumbent in one of these primaries fueled by the state senators’ “no” votes on redistricting. One of Trump’s candidates has also lost.
Eric Conroy wins the Republican primary for Ohio’s 1st Congressional District, NBC News projects.
This district, currently held by Democratic Rep. Greg Landsman, is a top Republican target in November. Trump carried the district in 2024.
