Good luck in wet and lefty Seattle, the dark side as we call it on the otherside of the Cascades. Might I recommend Sequim on the Penisula for a more pleasant experience. They call it the banana belt compared to the I5 corridor.

The area you are moving to receives one 60+” of rain yearly while Sequim receives less than 10” and grows wheat (it’s in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains and is on the Straight of Juan de Fuca). I’ve been there several times and enjoyed it.

This area of the PNW has many interesting places that are quite diverse (sound front/view, mountain living, lake front/view, farmish style living north of Kirkland) I hope you find your perfect spot!
