When we were traveling through Sweden, we stopped for dinner at restaurant that had an English-language menu. The day’s special was something called “forcemeat.” After interrogating the waiter, we found out that “forcemeat” is a mixture of lean ground meat and fat and not a misspelling of “horse meat.”

Haha . Re: food I’m a guy who will try just about anything once . The raw deer sashimi I ate just the one time . Horse meat is really good and famous here in Kumamoto where we live . Horse meat is leaner, sweeter, and has more nutrients than beef plus has higher levels of iron, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids . along with lower fat and cholesterol.I can understand why some won’t eat it though as horses aren’t considered livestock .
