The Pleiades; aka The Seven Sisters, is a bright, prominent star cluster in the constellation Taurus, easily visible in the winter sky as a small, dipper like grouping of stars.
In Greek mythology they are 7 daughters of the Titan Atlas, transformed into stars, with one often hidden due to grief, or hiding from a pursuer like Orion.

* Are the Stars Out Tonight? (I only have eyes for you!)

I absolutely love how the Ancients- Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Native American, and on and on, each have their own unique versions of what’s up there. It would be fantastic to be able to go back in time and experience the night sky like they did. The Sun, the Moon, and the stars are pretty much the same as what Jesus and others saw, but their skies were pristine-unspoiled by modern lighting.
