All this talk about old television shows.

Anyone remember the British WW2 series World at War ?

The series is available at Internet Archive at the link.

I bet Lamont hasn’t watched that .

Thanks so much for posting that OldHarbor. Not all the episodes are available on YouTube and I have been thinking of purchasing them from Amazon streaming. This is the best WW2 doc ever made. No PC just straight history. I find it fascinating to hear accounts from the actual guys that were there. For those that don’t know, this series came out in 1973 so they have interviews with many of the players including Karl Doenitz who was the Fuhrer after Hitler killed himself.

As for the guy in the OP, what a joke. I grew up in a small town in the middle of flyover country nowhere. Things were nothing like the rural TV shows. I turned 16 in 1980 and living where I did was awesome. I tell my friends who grew up in major metro areas that I wish they could have experienced it. I look back on my childhood with a lot of fondness and feel extremely lucky to have that experience.
