Law abiding citizens having the right to defend themselves by bearing arms is an even better solution. This govt would rather us all walk around as potential victims of crazy people that they've let roam the streets.
Crazy people do not really belong to jail, but should NOT be allowed to roam the streets.
Unfortunately, the laws are protecting people from for forced lock up in institution, so those poor people just roam the streets or sit in jails.
I mean really sick ones.
There was a time when everybody claimed insanity, so now it is almost impossible to use this in defense.
So the real sick end up in jail!
