Here’s the problem.

If you own a business that pays $10 maybe $15 an hour you are paying a wage that your employee cant provide their own basic needs. They know you know that. They are probably either doing something illegal or on the dole to subsidize their existence.

It’s an awkward situation for all, including the taxpayer.

Well, the more wages go up, starting with minimum, the more prices will increase; that’s pretty basic. Supposing everyone worked for $1-$2 per hour; prices would have to drop like a shot.
