During the Libya bombing campaign, President Obama authorized strikes on a range of dual‑use sites, including TV stations, communications facilities, government buildings, civilian vessels and ports.
He also joked about drone strikes at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and there were no accusations of war crimes then.
“We bombed them for seven months, and, by the way, after 60 to 90 days, the War Powers Authorization Act ends. In other words, you can negotiate from 60 to 90 days about whether you need Congress’s approval to make war. After that, it’s illegal.”

That’s where we switched sides in the war on terror and started flying top cover for black flag Al Qeida. And the collapse of Kaddafy unleashed the flood of migrants into Europe.
And of course, our attack happened after Kaddafy invited us in to collect up and take his entire WMD program.
That makes Iranians and other critters very reluctant to hand over their programs.
VDH should look for better examples. You don’t justify stupid moves by pointing to democrat stupid moves.

A disgusting modern trend from Obama, joking around about war. W Bush never did it, Reagan never joked about our military actions, nor did anyone else before him.
Obama, Biden, and Trump all do that grab ass clown routine about our military activity. Can’t remember Clinton doing it. He was probably too smart politically. Hillary cackled about it.

Qaddafi actually capitulated to Gush on EVERYTHING, and then that happened. What kind of lesson is that for any difficult character who is requested to negotiate with the U.S. Even if the current president is okay, the next one might be the opposite.
