Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) on Wednesday discussed his knowledge surrounding aliens, telling a Newsmax host he would be “up at night” if “the things that I’ve seen” were released.
“I’ve been briefed by just about every alphabet agency there is, and I’ll just tell you this, if they would release the things that I’ve seen, you would stay up at — you’d be up at night worrying about or — thinking about this stuff,” Burchett told Newsmax host Rob Finnerty on his show.
“We just need to disclose it all. I’m sick of it, you’re — ah, well, — I was briefed, I will just tell you this, I was briefed last week on an issue — or excuse me, two weeks ago — and it would’ve set the earth on — this country would’ve come unglued, I think, if they would’ve heard all that I’d heard.”
Burchett has previously suggested that the U.S. government may have purposefully hidden information about unidentified anomalous phenomena, often known as UFOs.
“I think there’s a cover-up,” Burchett said in an appearance on NewsNation’s “The Hill” in April 2024.
“There are tens of millions of dollars that we’ve spent investigating these things. We’ve had departments tell us that they have recovery units, but they won’t release full reports. Everything’s covered up,” the Tennessee Republican added.

Congress has concluded that they have an element of truth worth disclosing. And so has the President.
Where are they?
Someplace we can’t get at them.

The people who appear to be getting these alien briefings are Republicans. I'm wondering if someone behind the scene is setting-up Republicans to look like gullible rubes.
We and President Trump are superior to Congress. We want the truth to come out and the lies to be exposed. Congress isn't worthy of our interest. Self-serving grifters.

And he can delegate classification and declassification authority.
Plus classified info does initially have marking on it “declassify on __/__/__”
And the President is the highest classification authority

I think you might be right-
I believe there is a power structure not only within our own government but in the science community as a whole. I would bet there are things that the president is totally unaware of. How would he declassify technology he may not even knows exist.
