In the good old days, poaching was punishable by death.

In England it is still considered an offense to the king and carries a very heavy fine and imprisonment.

In the good old days you didn’t need a license. Iowa’s first licensing for deer was in the 50’s. There were very few deer.

Now don’t get me wrong, some govt for good purposes is important. I am not an anarchist. Some years now, there are too many deer. But then weather and disease reduce the population.

But laws tend to morph and change over time beyond the original intention. Bambi lovers.

This guy broke the law and other laws with intent it appears. He got caught on this one instead of the others. OR, how many years to you keep the tag on a trophy head? Is the tag on you mattress removed or still there.
