Mrs Maw relatively recently shot a deer with my Jeep. A very expensive deer but it was pretty good. Im not giving her a hard time, nearly everyone out here has gotten one. Im not sure the whistles work. Ive seen articles stating they dont. I do know that I used to drive at night a lot and hit a bunch of deer down in that swamp. Each time I had \m/ metal \m/ blaring out the windows but it almost seemed to draw them to the road as though they liked it.
I’ve been pretty lucky with the deer horns they sell on amzn. They supposedly have a warbling tone and a hi and low frequency. Been using them for 7 years after a doe took out my ‘09 Corolla which had a small, single frequency horn. They come in 2x pairs and I install one from each pair per car.
I don’t see stunned or tranced dear. Just “huh?”. They usually stare at my car as I pass.
