Colorado used to be solid red. Same with NM and Calif. When they change they don’t go back. Voter ID and immigration reform won’t change it. We’ll be lucky to keep Nevada purple as Oregon and Washington are lost too.
A generation of education turnaround could help. So could more conservative economic growth but only if our representatives fight for it.
Key component: universal mail-in balloting.
Might want to add "eliminating vote fraud" to that list, as that is how democrats tend to hold power once they've got it. No amount of quality campaigning or education of the next generation will help as long as dead people, semi-lucid drug addicts, even less lucid people in nursing homes, and illegal aliens, keep "voting" for democrats.
“Colorado used to be solid red.”
Nope. Never was. Is was solid purple, but a good purple. People voted fiscally conservatives, but socially liberal. Keep out of other people’s business but keep taxes low, keep regulations low, but provide the services government is meant to do.
However, the illegal aliens, potheads, and Texan and Kali liberals moved into the State in the 1990s. Colorado died then. It is now blue as can be. Even the State GOP is blue, backing democrap candidates instead of Republicans.
The wife and I moved to Colorado in the early 1980’s. It was a far different place then. We left in 2021 for Florida.
Well if there is ever any hope of change, getting rid of voter fraud would be the only way to do it.
