I don’t see how it could be more clear that this information was withheld due to politics.

I just finished transcribing this Facebook video
Jim Jordan
Transcript:
Trey Gowdy:
Joining us is the man running House Judiciary, Jimmy Jordan of the great state of Ohio. Welcome Mr. Chairman. Comey has been gone nearly a decade, but the damage remains. I wonder what he’s being investigated for now.

Jim Jordan:
Well, it’s just the idea that there was a conspiracy, that they were all working together, as you pointed out, to undermine President Trump, his first term, and then they just kept going. But never forget where it all started. And I know you remember because you were one of the people who identified it. But 10 years ago, when the Clinton campaign hired the law firm Perkins Coie, who then went out and hired the public relation firm Fusion GPS, who then went out and hired a foreigner who wrote the garbage document called the dossier that Jim Comey used to get a warrant to go spy on the other campaign, President Trump’s campaign.

probably never happened in American history, but it did then. And then Comey and all he manipulated and did helped us get, I mean, allowed us to get this this Mueller investigation, which I always point out, 19 lawyers, 41 agents, $30 million, and zero collusion, zero coordination, zero conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, which is what they were supposed to find.

So that’s when it all began. And this whole lawfare, this whole weaponization, has frankly continued for 10 years, all the way up through this past Biden administration. But I do think things have now changed with the Trump administration and our new Justice Department.

Trey Gowdy:
You know, Chairman, you mentioned Comey. John Brennan’s name was going through my mind when you were saying that, too. Those two conspired because they just didn’t like Donald Trump. Watching Mueller testify and being questioned by you and Johnny Radcliffe, it was clear to those at home, the person who learned the most about the Mueller report on the day he testified was Mueller. I mean, the report was written by partisan hacks like Andrew Wiseman. It was pathetic to watch, Jim.

Jim Jordan:
Yeah, it was. You know, we talked about how unfortunate it was with President Biden and the fact that he wasn’t up to the job, but Bob Mueller wasn’t either. And we all saw that when he testified, he really couldn’t answer any questions he had They negotiated this to have staff sitting beside him throughout that hearing, and the staff answered the questions. So yeah, he wasn’t up to the task. But you mentioned John Brennan.

Never forget what happened last summer. ODNI Director Gabbard declassified and released a report that you were involved with, that Devin Nunes was involved with a few years ago. When that thing became public, it underscored that this whole dossier thing was complete garbage.

We knew it was, but this was just the final sort of touch to this whole thing. Complete garbage. They knew it wasn’t real, and yet they went ahead and used it as a way to change the intelligence community assessment and provide the predicate for the Mueller investigation, which as you said, Trey, undermined the president’s first term, at least two and a half years of his first term, for goodness sake.

Imagine how much more good things he could have got done if he didn’t have to deal with that. But it all goes back to that with Brennan. There was one email that was released where someone who worked at the CIA said to Mr. Brennan, he said, we shouldn’t use this dossier. We can’t count on this. It just doesn’t pass the test. And he says, yeah, but doesn’t it ring true? Displaying his bias and the fact that they wanted to get President Trump, and so they were willing to use anything to create some reason to set up the Mueller investigation and to go after the president.

Trey Gowdy:
You know, Jimmy, in hindsight, it is so hard to believe. I remember going to the Bureau, asking for what you and I call corroboration. You make these assertions. Your witness is telling you this. Where is the corroboration for Chris Steele? And literally, they had a spreadsheet that was citing newspaper articles. The world’s premier law enforcement agency is citing newspaper articles as corroboration for investigating a president.

That’s got to be a low point for the Bureau. But I’m going to give you the rest of my time. I’m ceding to the gentlemen of Ohio.

Jim Jordan:
No, I was just going to say, Trey, and it was even worse because it wasn’t just citing newspaper articles. They were articles created because they leaked information. So they create the newspaper article. Then they cite it as the basis to launch a ridiculous investigation, which again, as you pointed out, undermined what President Trump was elected to do by we the people. That’s how ridiculous this all was. And this is why we’ve actually referred John Brennan to the Justice Department for prosecution.

We know he lied to us last Congress when we were asking about a different subject, the 51 former intel officials who signed that bogus letter. But one of the things we put in that letter when we sent it to the Justice Department for his referral was when you questioned him several years ago in an intelligence committee hearing. So yeah, John Brennan definitely lied to you and he lied to us.

Try Gowdy:
Yeah. And Kash Patel was sitting over my right shoulder. I think he’s got a higher ranking position now. I can’t remember. Jimmy Jordan from the great state of Ohio. It’s always a pleasure to see you.
Tell Polly hello and we’ll see you soon.

Jim Jordan:
You bet.

More foot dragging to obfuscate the obvious.
