Paramount Pictures wanted Audrey Hepburn to change her name to avoid
confusion with the already established mega-star, actress Katharine Hepburn.

She was early in her career signing for the immensely successful film, “Roman Holiday,”
yet Audrey defiantly refused, responding that they would have to take her name as it was.
