I have believed in US out the UN, UN out of the US for decades. The stupid UN didn’t save us from all the wars since Korea. For millions of dollars a year and as a platform for cutting down the US.

I understand concerns about privacy for the victims, but without details and without specifics regarding the victims and the perpetrators, it will never resonate with people. 300,000 trafficked children is one of those numbers like saying 30 million Americans live below the poverty line It’s an abstraction that is meaningless for most people.

What does it really mean to be trafficked? Are atrocities being committed on these children? Are they being forced to work as slaves for individuals or for businesses? Or even worse, are they being raped? Tortured? Murdered? I don’t know the answer. Maybe they are. But if such atrocities are occurring on such a large scale, why are there no details? You would think that would be a hard thing to hide.

I found an article from a few years ago where some large operation found about 40 kids. It said that 85% of them were runaways, and 9% were family abductions. 40% of them were being sex-trafficked.

When my daughters were young teens I recall reading about how the traffickers target young girls. See them alone or in a small group at the mall, befriend them, etc. Scary stuff.

Our next door neighbor’s daughter ran away when she was maybe 15 years old. He spent all of his time after work driving and walking the streets of Seattle. I forget how she finally got home. But it was awhile - a year perhaps?

Hillary's attorneys rushed to indignantly state the question was 'out of scope', not that it was a rumor, but out of scope. The chairman moved the discussion off the record. But for one shining moment, Hillary's darkest depravities were placed on the Congressional record.

Police officers at SDNY who examined the computer were made physically ill and traumatized by watching the video. Then some started dying, a clear calling-card of those who learn too much about Hillary Clinton.
SDNY had the Weiner laptop with the Frazzledrip video, and their AG, Preet Bharara, covered it up. Comey at the DOJ rushed in to collect the laptop the same day, and then covered it up.
If the public knew what Hillary Clinton was capable of, wearing the bloody scraps of a child's face as a mask, and then visually reminiscing about it later (well, she was drug fueled at the time and therefore euphoric), they would sieze upon the number 300,000 children 'missing or lost' with horror and demand accountability.

A key point the Dems (and some repubs) don't want to close the borders is that migrants can't be traced. We can't show 300,000 school records or dental xrays for missing children. Bodies which are found can't be identified.

Thanks for the info. I know that grooming gangs are a big thing among Muslims in Great Britain. My sense is that it’s not as wide spread here, but I’m sure it happens. I just wonder, when we hear numbers like 300,000 children being lost track of, how many of them are being abused and how many are living safely with relatives and have simply fallen off the RADAR because their relatives are also here illegally and are trying not to be noticed themselves.

For me, the hardest part of believing the fate of trafficked children was that there seemed to be no trace of them after they cross the border. Why weren't they turning up in traffic stops or domestic abuse police visits?
