AI Overview
As of March 17, 2026, Cuba is experiencing a severe energy crisis, with millions of people still without power following a nationwide grid collapse. While officials have reconnected parts of the grid from Pinar del Rio to Holguin, generation remains extremely low, and areas like Santiago de Cuba remain largely offline.
The only possible difference would be on how shallow the quake might be.
