“Fargo is probably my favorite movie of all time.”
I’ve liked every Coen brothers movie I’ve ever watched except for one.
Their movies are one breath of fresh air in the stagnant hollywood movie industry.
Technically, I suppose Big Lebowski is actually my “favorite”, but I guess I’d say Fargo is a “better” movie.
But yeah, those guys just make some really great films.
I was always a sucker for John Wayne westerns — and while it’s a somewhat different film? I think their rendition of True Grit is just *outstanding*. Jeff Bridges is an underrated treasure. One of the few actors where I’d give a movie I otherwise wouldn’t watch a chance.
Raising Arizona is their best, by far.
