They're spraying 'Viva Trump' in public places in Havana.

Historians will tell you that rising expectations create conditions for revolutions.
Which brings us to Cuba, where the locals are rioting to demand the end of 65 years of stone-cold communism.
According to Fox News:
Protesters attacked a Communist Party headquarters in Cuba overnight, ransacking the building and attempting to set it on fire, while video from the scene appeared to capture gunfire and a man on the ground outside, according to footage obtained by Fox News Digital.
Cuban state media later denied that anyone had been struck by police gunfire and announced five arrests.
After all, blackouts are all over the place -- here's the Malecon, in the heart of the capital of Havana. [video at source link]
I would like to see the satellite images of the hinterlands, and any city smaller than Havana on the island -- it's pretty obvious how dark they'd look. In 1789 France, they rioted for bread. In 2026 Cuba, they riot for light.
And like the revolutionary French taking the Bastille, the angry Cuban locals have taken matters into their own hands.
They set fire to the Communist Party of Cuba headquarters:

And people in Iran are cheering when IRGC offices get hit by drones. You won’t hear about that in the MSM.
While I am not hugely impressed with these talks, given the lack of change in Venezuela thus far, as well as the phony promises (all broken) of the Cuban regime to respect private property, the pro-Trump sentiment seems to be all over.
What can that mean other than rising expectations?
The pro-Trump cheering has been heard in Mexico, Venezuela and other Latin American states where any such chants would have been unthinkable in the past. Now they are all over Cuba. When Cubans see Trump, they see hope and that may be the difference between a revolution that fizzles, and one that builds.
One can only hope this ends well for Cuba's battered people, crushed by communism for nearly two thirds of the last hundred years. Trump is their lodestar.
If Cuba turns to Trumpism, and socialist governments are falling al over Central America, can Brazil be far behind?
Sadly, yes.
"It's Trump! That's a misprint!"
Trump ‘negotiating’. What’s needed is for Marco to holler ‘fire!’ in their crowded theater of a country. Do it in Spanish and throw fuel on the fire. Watch the people go crazy. My only wish is that Fidel is not around to watch it.
“You wanna work 8, 10 fucking hours? You own nothing, you got nothing! Do you want a chivato on every corner looking after you? Watching everything you do? Everything you say, man?”
There’s more. Give them all the gas they need to prime their economic pump. Collect all the spare flat screen tv’s and hand them out. Send all the illegals to install satellite dishes. Then (again) all those Ford Rangers and Fiestas. Send them there for the Hudsons and all the cigars they can make.
All these material things should have been placed on storage lots in Key West and Guantanamo.
Trump has learned very well. Don’t have fantasy goals of “democracy” or “freedom” and don’t insist on complete regime-change
We don’t need them to be actively pro-American. Just stop exporting marxism, stop being actively anti-American hegemony, and don’t support directly China or Russia.
Oh, and tie into our US dollar energy trade too
The rest will take care of itself
I hope it succeeds.
Let Holliday INN and Circle K build...McDonalds...
Uprooting entrenched oppressive regimes, as is being learned in Iran, is not simple. These regimes are supported by a large web of insiders that control the economy, have the guns and the goons. You can decapitate the “leaders” but the web of insiders will not go quietly. They know if the regime falls, they themselves, their families and syncophants face death, prison and impoverishment. They will fight and kill to the end to stay in power. Gaffitti on walls and an occasional public outburst may indeed reflect widespread discontent with the regime, but it should not be misconstrued as evidence of a soon to occur general uprising and imminent regime change.
Is there any way the Jews can be blamed for what’s happening in Cuba? There has to be a common thread somewhere. s/

The American revolution was for a clear goal. Our current revolution is for a clear goal also, but many don’t see the goal, only what they don’t like.
“is not simple”
We have the same problem here in the US. The castro communist democrats control all the levers of election engineering, propaganda, and education. We need to liberate ourselves before we can focus on the Cubans and Iranians.
Maybe pass the SAVE Act as mandatory to prevent the democrats from rigging the elections again.

the collapse of the cuban economy is ending the export of radical marxism throughout the Americas ... it’s difficult to influence world events when you can’t even keep the lights on at home ...
I do not understand why Cuban Americans have not formed volunteer freedom brigades, ready when asked to retake their motherland.
Sadly? What do you mean?
