Are you getting ready for Pi Day tomorrow? You know, Third month, 14th day, 3.14. But the REALLY big new is happening tonight, just before 2am (well, okay that’s actually ‘tomorrow’). The Pi second is happening at 1:59:26am. You know: 3 14 1 59 26. I’m getting fired up for it. Unfortunately, the big Pi Second celebration only lasts for one second, so you better be ready to really party hardy for it!
When I was a kid working in New York in the 80’s my office had an old retiree who was volunteering his time. He attended Rennselaer (spelling?) Polytechnic U in the 1920’s. He said their best hockey cheer was:
