Labor laws and “immigrants” (living wage) have pretty much deleted work for high schoolers.
It’s why I advocate a lower wage for those under 18. But it will never happen because unions won’t allow, because it would result in hiring more teenagers.
My son started working in the produce department of Wal-Mart just before starting his senior year in high school. It was a good experience for him (and his parents).
