It started out that there were 11 navy ships which made up the Iran Navy and they were all sunk. Now suddenly we are up to 46. Next it will be 100. Not sure what to believe.

If you look up the number and size of ships in the Iranian navy, it will make sense to you. :)

In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled President Trump: "President Trump: The navy is gone. It's all lying at the bottom of the ocean. Forty-six ships. Can you believe it?" "And we'll not relent until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated" (TRANSCRIPT)Revel wrote:

Trump likes to insert information not available elsewhere and emphasize it, and I sometimes see people saying he must be wrong. But in my opinion he's making a point without making statements that would be more direct, yet cause more kerfluffle.

I suspect he repeated 'forty-six' for a reason. I wonder if China and or Russia contributed ships and flagged them as Iranian, the same way those countries use ghost fleets to transport oil. For example, if Iran only had 30 ships, maybe some allies flagged their ships to bulk up the military might on display.

If true, it's possible Trump doesn't want to say "We took out all 30 of Iran's ships, 7 of Russia's, and 9 of China's."

That sort of statement might cause some disruption.
