An exit poll puts the Greens ahead of the Christian Democrats by 1 point; but, the Christian Democrats and the third place Alternative for Germany (AfD) will constitute a clear majority in the state legislature.

But will the CDU form a government with AfD? I thought that most parties refused to have anything to do with AfD.
The greens are really the reds.
There has been cooperation at the level of local government and a short-lived arrangement in one of Germany’s states. But, that has been it. (Maybe I could mention there was an attempt by leadership of the Christian Democrats work with the Alternative in the Bundestat to tighten immigration.) The “cordon sanitaire” has otherwise held. I would like to see this wall of separation torn down. Being realistic, this would mean that we’d have to work out our differences among ourselves. But, in my mind, this would be better than the center-right working with the other side. If we, the combined right-of-center parties, get a clear majority, we should organize government.
AfD is a clear choice for national presevation. If the Germans don’t want that, then their best genes were killed off in the two world wars.
Like most greens, they’re watermelons. Green on the outside. Red on the inside.
Switzerland has two green parties. One is socialist. The other is pro-market.
The Scandinavians have “Center Parties” that are kind of green (actually, “agrarian”) and these parties straddle the political spectrum.
Most of us conservatives are green the way farmers and ranchers, lumbermen and fishermen are green. We love this beautiful planet God has given us and commanded us to care for.
(The Greens are really the Reds.)
“You took a Yellow Red before a White American,
and that’s pretty Pinko!”.

Obviously, there have to be a coalition.
Like always in Germany.
Now, what will CDU do?
Ally themselves with communist Greens of AfD?
Yes, the Scandinavian countries have centre parties (green/agrarian) but also Greens that are green (Islamists and enviornmental) and red (communism).
Doesn’t matter: Deep state CDU is more likely to tie up with the Greens or Reds than with the party of the people.
