Jefferson. He wrote most of the Constitution and I’d have him fix a few things. Alternatively, Andrew Johnson who was President when the 14th amendment came into being. It needs much stronger wording and clarification.

Madison wrote most of the Constitution. Jefferson was not present at the Constitutional Convention.

Jefferson wrote none of the Constitution. He was the ambassador to France at the time.

Madison was the Father of the Constitution.

Jefferson was in France as US ambassador during the entire constitutional convention. For insight into the Constitution, you would want Madison, who wrote the draft, defended its provisions, kept a diligent record of the debates, wrote much of the Federalist Papers, and organized the campaign for adoption. He then wrote the bill of rights in the first Congress.
